How it works
Some AI companion providers run affiliate programmes that pay a share of sales referred by websites like this one. Where we take part, the outbound link to that provider is an affiliate link. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code, and a short disclosure appears next to the button, not only in the footer.
Not every provider has an affiliate programme. Several brands we review, PolyBuzz and SpicyChat among them, pay nothing, and they are reviewed against the same criteria.
What a commission never changes
- What a review says, including limitations and missing information.
- The order of a list, which follows the criteria stated on each page.
- Whether a service is excluded for breaking our rules.
No provider pays for a review, approves text before publication, or is promised a position. We do not advertise exclusive deals.
Reviews and testimonials
We do not publish user testimonials, star ratings or reviews written by or for providers. Our reviews are editorial and based on official documents, as described in the methodology.
Rules we follow
This disclosure follows the US Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which require that a material connection between a reviewer and a seller be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, close to the recommendation. The FTC's Endorsement Guides FAQ gives examples for affiliate links. We also follow the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), which prohibits fake reviews.

Frequently asked questions
Do I pay more if I use an affiliate link?
No. The provider pays any commission; the price you see is the provider's own price.
Do affiliate brands rank higher?
No. Lists follow the published criteria on each page, and brands without affiliate programmes are reviewed the same way.
