What Dopple AI is
Dopple is a character chat site run by Dopple Labs Inc. Its characters, called Dopples, are mostly made by the community and drawn from games, anime, films, TV and history: the trending row on our visit had Luffy, Master Chief and Geralt. The About page talks about "clones of people and characters" and image generation inside chats on Dopple's own language model.
Many people search for Dopple because they heard it shut down. On 24 October 2026 it was online, with a banner for its mobile app.
What it costs
Chatting is free. A "Try D+" button in the header points to a Dopple+ membership, but no public page lists its price, and the App Store only says the app has in-app purchases. There is no published refund policy, so check the price and renewal terms at checkout before you subscribe.
Who it is built for
The terms allow anyone 13 or older, or 16 in the EU, and ban content that is "vulgar, obscene, pornographic". The category tabs put Kids shows next to Girlfriend and Boyfriend. This is a general character chat site, not an adult one.
The iPhone app is rated 18+ on the App Store, which does not match the terms. App Store reviewers also describe message caps and video ads for more chat time; Dopple's own pages do not publish those limits.
Privacy and your chats
The terms say your chat history "may be stored, analyzed and used" for training Dopple's models, "presenting tailored content or ads" and research. The privacy policy adds that the site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. No retention period or self-service deletion steps are published; requests go to [email protected].
