It is not an adult service: sexual messages are filtered, the minimum age is 13, and the featured characters include teenage anime characters and real K-pop singers. The apps haven't been updated since October 2024 and the featured avatars didn't load when we checked.

HOW WE CHECKED On October 23, 2026 we checked Kajiwoto's public pages from a US connection: the homepage, pricing page and its FAQ, privacy policy, and the Google Play and App Store listings. We did not create an account: Kajiwoto's own policy sets the minimum age at 13, so it falls outside what we test for an 18+ site. We found no separate Terms of Service page. Nothing was paid.

What we checked on 23 October 2026
We read Kajiwoto's homepage, pricing page and FAQ, and privacy policy from a US connection, and looked at its Google Play and App Store listings. We didn't sign up. Kajiwoto's privacy policy sets the minimum age at 13, so it is not an 18+ service and falls outside our account tests. We couldn't find a Terms of Service page; the usual addresses return a missing page.
What Kajiwoto is
Kajiwoto, from Kajiwoto Inc., is a toolkit for building chatbot characters, called Kajis. Instead of writing one long prompt, you write datasets: example lines you want the character to say, which the engine samples when it replies. It adds memory prompts that summarise past chats, moods, a sleep schedule, custom voices and image albums.
Characters live in chat rooms. You can keep a room private or go live, where other people and AI characters join the same chat. A Discord bot lets you use a Kaji on your server. The site still carries a "Beta" badge, and the FAQ says it is "currently an unfinished product" with features split between web and mobile.
What it costs
Chat is unlimited on every plan, including free. The free plan runs mostly on Babbage, an older OpenAI model, with 10% of replies from ChatGPT. Plus costs $7.99 a month, or $7.32 a month on the annual option, and raises the ChatGPT share to 20%, adds private datasets and gives you 8 private rooms.
Pro, at $29.99 a month, would put every reply on ChatGPT, but its button says "Available on Mar 20th" with no year. If you subscribe in the app, you cancel through Apple or Google.
Is Kajiwoto an adult chat?
No. The moderation FAQ says the AI model is not allowed to generate "any sexual" messages, filtered through OpenAI's moderation API. User datasets made to be pornographic are removed and nudity is banned in images. Romance and some risque humor are allowed.
The audience also skews young. The privacy policy only excludes children under 13, Google Play rates the app Teen, and the homepage's featured characters include teenage anime characters and two real K-pop singers. Oddly, the US App Store lists the iOS app as 18+.
Is it still maintained?
Barely, from what's public. The Android and iOS apps were last updated on October 30 and 31, 2024. On our visit the avatar images in the featured grid failed to load because the image server returned errors, and the Pro plan still points to a launch date without a year.
Privacy
The privacy policy is short. It says Kajiwoto does not share information with third parties, tracks engagement and the sentiment of messages in public rooms, and keeps your data up to 120 days after you delete your account. It also says the ability to delete your whole chat room history is still being worked on.
Who might use it, and who shouldn't
It may suit someone who wants to hand-train a safe-for-work character with example lines and run it on Discord.
It is not for anyone looking for adult chat, and it isn't a good bet if you want an actively maintained app.
