AI Group Chat Apps: Put Several Characters in One Room

Nectar AI is the easiest place to start: a group holds up to 10 companions, and its ready-made scenes ("Fantasies") come with the cast already set. Secrets AI runs small adult groups of up to 3 on its top plan, and GoLove lets you pick 2 or more library characters. We confirmed group chat in the help pages or official sites of all 7 services below on October 23, 2026, and dropped every service where we could not.

One rule: the service must let you chat with two or more separate AI characters in the same conversation, and the brand has to say so in its help center, docs, wiki or official pages. A user testimonial does not count. Neither does a single character card that plays several roles.

We read the group chat pages for Nectar AI and Secrets AI, the Chub AI chat docs, and the official sites of GoLove, Nastia AI, Nomi and Kindroid. Everything was checked through a US connection on October 23, 2026, without logging in or paying. Prices come from the same official pages; where a brand shows prices only after sign-in, the table says so.

For each pick we looked at three things that matter in a group: how many characters fit, who decides which character speaks next, and whether groups are on the free plan or locked to a tier.

SpicyChat, HammerAI and Xoul AI are not included while we re-check their catalogs and policies (Oct 2026).

Nectar AI: group scenes that come pre-written

Nectar has two ways in. Open a Fantasy (a ready-made scenario) with several companions, using the "Groups Only" filter on Discover, or open Chat Settings in an existing chat and choose Add Character. A group can hold up to 10 companions. One warning from the docs: adding a character turns that chat into a group chat permanently, even if you remove them later.

In a group, companions talk to each other, and one message can get replies from several of them. An experimental Choose speaker menu lets you pick Auto or a specific companion. Nectar recommends a more advanced model for group chats.

• Minus: the free plan's message allowance is not published, so you cannot tell in advance how long a group scene will last for free.

Secrets AI: small groups on the top plan

The Secrets wiki describes group chats with up to 3 companions. You can mix the platform's companions with your own characters, name the group ("Movie Night", "Beach Party"), and each message shows who sent it. Companions answer you and each other. Group chats support image generation, and the AI picks who appears in the picture.

• Price: Group Chats are an Ultimate feature: $39.99/mo or $319.99/yr. Premium ($19.99/mo) and Free (20 messages a day) do not include them.
• Minus: 3 companions is the smallest room on this list, and it costs the most to unlock.

GoLove: pick two or more characters

GoLove's interface asks you to "Select 2 or more characters to create a group chat", from your own characters or the full library. Groups can be private, unlisted or public, and the premium page lists Group Chats among the paid unlocks. We list GoLove for chat only.

• Price: PRO and ULTRA plans plus credits; the pricing page needs sign-in and showed euro amounts to our server, so no USD figure.
• Minus: the terms allow a refund only within 24 hours of payment and refuse it if more than 20 credits were used.

Nastia AI: your private companions in one room

Nastia's home page says you can "create and join exciting group chats with multiple AI companions" and watch them interact. Each user's companions stay private; there is no public feed. Nastia Cybernetics is a French company.

• Price: plans are shown only after sign-in. The terms say payments are in US dollars and purchases are non-refundable except where the law requires or a technical error prevented delivery.
• Minus: no published group size and no public prices, so you sign up before you know what you get.

Chub AI: build your own group

In Chub's chat page, Chat Settings is "where you can add characters to the chat", next to lorebooks and Stages (add-ons such as expression packs or mini-games). You choose the model through API connections, which gives you control and makes the setup more work than the apps above.

• Price: free browsing and chatting with a connected model; Mars is $20/mo with unlimited messages, according to the docs.
• Minus: the docs do not publish a maximum group size, and other tier prices load only after sign-in.

Nomi: companions that remember, in a group

Nomi's official site says you can create multiple Nomis and "talk with your Nomis one-on-one or put them all in a group chat". Its main pitch is short, medium and long-term memory. A user quote on the same page mentions 10 characters per account; the group size itself is not published. We link to Nomi's official site only.

• Price: $15.99/mo, $39.99 a quarter, $99.99/yr (official blog post, March 2026; current checkout not confirmed).
• Minus: no public pricing page, so check the price at checkout.

Kindroid: group chats and shared Rooms

Kindroid's official pages list group chats and shared Rooms, which are in beta. The subscriptions page says Ultra and MAX add more Kindroid and group-chat slots. We link to Kindroid's official site only.

• Price: 1-month, 3-month or 1-year subscriptions with Ultra and MAX add-ons; the price is shown at checkout by country and platform.
• Minus: no USD prices on public pages, and the number of slots per tier is not published.

• Big rooms lose the plot. The more characters share a scene, the fewer turns each one gets. Start with 3 or 4.
• Every reply costs. On energy or credit systems, each character's reply is a separate model reply. A lively room drains a daily allowance fast.
• Tier locks. Secrets AI puts groups on its $39.99 plan; Kindroid ties group slots to add-ons. Check the plan before you build a cast.
• Permanent changes. On Nectar, adding a character turns a private chat into a group for good. Copy a chat first if you want to keep the one-on-one version.
• Adults only. Every service here requires users to be 18 or older, and every character in a group must be an adult.

Candy AI mentions group chat only in a user testimonial on its subscriptions page, not in its help pages, so it is out. We found no group or multi-character chat in the public help pages of CrushOn, Janitor AI, JuicyChat, PepHop, DreamGF, DarLink or GirlfriendGPT on October 23, 2026. GirlfriendGPT has a "Multiple" catalog tag, but no help page describes a room with separate bots. If any of them adds a documented group feature, we will add it.

What is an AI group chat?

It is one conversation with two or more separate AI characters. They reply to you and to each other, and each message shows which character sent it. Nectar AI allows up to 10 companions in one room, and Secrets AI 3.

Is there a free AI group chat?

How many AI characters can be in one group?

It depends on the app. Nectar AI allows up to 10, Secrets AI up to 3, and GoLove needs at least 2. Nastia AI, Chub AI, Nomi and Kindroid do not publish a maximum.

Who decides which character answers?

Usually the app, with an override. Nectar AI's experimental Choose speaker menu offers Auto or a specific companion.
