DarLink AI review: clear prices, loose rules on real people

We opened DarLink from a US connection and went through the homepage feed, the plan and token pages, the builder, the generator and the legal pages. Then we tried the free email sign-up with a disposable address. DarLink answered "Please use a valid, non-disposable email address", and a second try was blocked as too many attempts, so we stopped.

Nothing below comes from inside an account. Chat quality, memory, the free limits and the settings are untested. No payment was made.

DarLink is an adult companion chat run by FameLink SA in the Swiss canton of Jura. You build a character or pick one from a community feed, chat by text and voice, and spend tokens on pictures and short videos. The site also openly sells an "AI Porn Generator".

The feed is mostly user-made. Cards rated NSFW are hidden behind a Show button for visitors, and the bios lean on roleplay setups, including a few step-family scenarios.

Plans are $12.99, $27.99 and $49.99 a month. Paying quarterly or yearly lowers the monthly figure to as little as $9.99 on Essential, but the page does not show the total you are charged up front. A countdown timer suggests the discount is temporary; we can't confirm whether it resets.

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of coins: 100, 300 or 500. Images cost 2 tokens and videos 20; the site does not say whether plan coins and store tokens are the same currency. Extra packs run from $9.99 for 100 tokens to $599.99 for 7,500.

DarLink advertises a free account and labels its generator as a free trial, but it does not publish how many free messages or images you get. We could not find out, because the sign-up refused our disposable address. You need a regular email to register.

The generator makes images or videos of an existing character or from scratch, using sliders or a text prompt. Images cost 2 tokens and videos 20.

This is where DarLink's rules are weakest. The terms say DarLink itself offers "AI avatars inspired by public personalities", and the only related rule bans pretending to be a celebrity, except with AI personas labeled as such. We found no ban on uploading or generating a real person's likeness. That is why we recommend DarLink for chat only.

Cards work for every plan; crypto only for yearly plans and token packs, and crypto plans do not renew automatically. Purchases are final. Refunds are limited to fraud, billing errors, termination without cause, or a discretionary request within 24 hours with minimal use. Deleting your own account forfeits any refund. If you file a chargeback, DarLink says it may hand your account records and private messages to the bank.

The privacy policy says chats may be used, anonymized, to train its AI and are shared with hosting, analytics, payment and recognition providers. The plan page FAQ claims DarLink "never" shares personal data with third parties, which does not match. You can delete your account in settings or through support.

Pick it if you want companion chat with published prices, a choice of memory levels and voices, and you're fine registering with your regular email.

Skip it if you want refunds, clear rules against generating real people, or a privacy promise that matches the privacy policy.
