HOW WE CHECKED Checked on 23 October 2026 through a US connection, logged out: the membership page, help center, terms, privacy policy, public bot feed and search, and the App Store and Google Play listings. We did not create an account, chat, or buy a plan, so chat quality, memory, free-credit use and the deletion flow are untested.

  • Large community library of bots, stories and novels
  • Written ban on minors, aged-up characters and realistic images of real people
  • Self-serve account deletion in Settings
THE TRADEOFF

Reasons to pause

  • Public feed and search showed step-family bots, a bot described as 13 and real-person bots
  • Membership page and help center give different annual prices
  • Free plan's 10 daily credits do not cover one in-chat image
  • No published retention period for chats

What we checked on 23 October 2026

We opened Joyland's membership page, help center, terms, privacy policy and the public bot feed from a US connection without logging in, and looked up its App Store and Google Play listings. A sign-up window covers each page for guests; it closes with one click and the feed stays readable.

We did not register. Joyland's terms admit users from 13, so it falls outside the services we test with an account. Chat quality, memory, free-credit use and account deletion are described from Joyland's own pages, not measured.

What Joyland AI is

Joyland AI is a community platform run by MINDZEN PTE. LTD. in Singapore. Users build bots, chat with other people's bots, and read or write AI stories. Bots can send pictures, and creators can train "image packs" from uploaded reference images so a bot looks the same in every photo.

It runs on the web and in iPhone and Android apps. The App Store lists the developer as ELDORIA PTE. LTD., a different company name from the one in the terms.

What it costs

There are two paid tiers. Standard was $9.99 a month or $55 a year on the day we checked, Premium $19.99 a month or $95 a year. Both carried discount badges against struck-through prices and a countdown timer, so treat the numbers as promotional.

The help center tells a different story for annual billing: $107.99 for Standard and $191.99 for Premium, with the current monthly prices described as early-bird rates. Check the figure on the checkout screen before you pay.

Standard comes with 5,000 credits a month, which pay for images (30 credits each in chat). Premium has no credit limit. The terms say fees are non-refundable as far as the law allows, partial months are not refunded, and you cancel through the store or payment partner you used.

What the free plan gets you

Ten credits a day, limited trials of the better models and up to three personas. Ten credits do not cover a single in-chat image at 30 credits, so the free plan is effectively text-only. Memory on free accounts covers the current conversation, per the help center.

Age rules and what the feed shows

Joyland is not an adults-only service. Its terms bar only users under 13 (16 in the EU), and no age check is described. At the same time, both paid tiers list "Intimate Themes Access".

The written content rules are strict: no minors, no "aged-up" characters, no real images of individuals, no impersonation. The public catalog did not match them on our visit. The logged-out home feed showed step-family and bully scenarios, a search returned a bot described as a 13-year-old, and another search listed bots of real singers marked "Real Person".

Privacy and deleting your account

The privacy policy says Joyland does not sell personal information. It may turn chat text into anonymised numbers and graphs for academic research with outside institutions. No retention period for chats is published.

The terms say you can delete your account from the Settings page. Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google have to be cancelled there separately.

Who might use it, and who should look elsewhere

Joyland suits people who want a large library of community bots and story tools at a low monthly price, and who are comfortable with a mixed-age user base.

If you want an adults-only service with rules that match its catalog, look at the alternatives below.
