We did not create an account: Replika's terms ban users under 18 but contain no explicit rule against sexual content involving minors, so under our test policy we stayed on public pages. We did not chat, pay or test media.

What Replika is
Replika is an AI companion app from Luka, Inc. in San Francisco, launched in 2017 and claiming more than 42 million users. Instead of a catalog of characters you get one companion, a 3D avatar you shape, who chats, sends selfies, remembers things about you and can talk on voice or AR calls. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.
What it costs
Free Use gives you limited access. Pro unlocks the romantic partner status, selfies, image generation and voice; Ultra adds smarter replies and saving messages to memory; Platinum adds video recognition and selfie videos.

Romance, not NSFW
Replika sells romance: Pro lets you set the relationship to Romantic Partner and unblurs romantic selfies. It is not an explicit chat service, and it has no character catalog to browse. If you want adult roleplay or uncensored images, the alternatives below are built for that.
Rules, privacy and deletion
The terms bar anyone under 18 and ban companions that impersonate a real, living or dead person without their written consent. The App Store rates the app 18+.
The privacy policy says your chats go to third-party AI models after de-identification, and that those providers may not train on your data. Some data can be kept for up to 10 years for legal duties. You delete the account in the app's settings with your password; it is permanent, and you should cancel store subscriptions separately.
