HOW WE CHECKED Checked on 23 October 2026 through a US connection, logged out: the Sakura+ pricing page, terms, content policy, privacy policy, the public explore page and search, and the App Store and Google Play listings. We did not create an account, chat or buy a plan, so the daily free-message limit, memory and the settings and deletion flow are untested.

What we checked on 23 October 2026
We opened Sakura's plans page, terms, content policy, privacy policy and the public explore page from a US connection without logging in, ran a few searches, and looked up its App Store and Google Play listings.
We did not register. Sakura is not on our list of recommended services, so we only test those with an account. The free-message limit, memory, chat quality and account deletion are described from Sakura's own pages, not measured.
What Sakura.fm is
Sakura.fm is run by Sakura AI, LLC from Jacksonville, Florida. You chat with characters other users have written or build your own, on the web or in the iPhone and Android apps. Much of the community lives on Sakura's Discord server, which is also where you apply for extra free messages.
What it costs
Two paid plans. Diamond removes the daily message cap and switches you to Sakura's "Dragonfruit" model, which it says has better memory. Infinite adds a stronger model, "Infinite Memory" and in-chat images. Monthly billing is $19 or $39; yearly billing brings them to $132 or $275 a year.
Infinite was marked "SALE" without a regular price beside it. The model names are Sakura's own labels, and the underlying models are not disclosed. Fees are non-refundable unless the law says otherwise, though the terms allow case-by-case refunds.
What the free plan gets you
A daily message allowance. Sakura does not publish the number, so you only find the cap when you hit it. If you run out often, the Sage program hands out free messages to users who promote Sakura on social media; you apply in Discord.
The rules and the public catalog
On paper Sakura is adults-only. The terms require users to be over 18, and the content policy bans any content involving minors "including fictional depictions", along with non-consensual content and biological incest.
The public explore page told a different story on our visit. Without logging in we saw sexualised high-school characters and step-sibling scenarios among the most-messaged bots, and a search returned a character whose profile gives her age as 13. Sakura has no written rule against bots of real people, and its App Store description advertises "virtual duplicates of real people".
Privacy and leaving
The privacy policy dates from January 2024 and reads like a template. It keeps data "only for as long as is necessary", says nothing specific about chat logs or model training, and says Sakura does not sell personal data before a later section says it "may sell" some categories.
You can edit or delete personal information in account settings or ask the company to delete it. Cancel a subscription in account settings, or in the App Store or Google Play if you paid there.
Who might use it, and who should look elsewhere
Sakura suits people who want a big community library and a usable free tier, and who will ignore much of what the front page shows.
If you want a service whose catalog matches its own rules, or a clear privacy policy, start with the alternatives below.
Rules & privacy, in plain English
You represent that you are over the age of 18. The Company does not permit those under 18 to use the Service.
