Kindroid does not publish USD prices on its website; the subscriptions page says the exact price appears at checkout and that the web is usually cheaper than the App Store or Google Play. The rows are the US App Store in-app purchase list on October 24, 2026. Ultra and MAX are monthly add-ons on top of the base plan and unlock only after significant use. The 3-day trial converts to a paid plan unless cancelled; returning subscribers may be offered 50% off one month once. Plans renew automatically.

What Kindroid is
Kindroid is an AI companion app from Beautifully Incorporated in Los Angeles. You build your own character, its backstory, look and voice, and chat, call or video call it on the web, iOS or Android. Paid plans add Cascaded Memory and journals for longer recall, group chats with several Kindroids, selfies and video avatars.
What it costs
The website does not print prices; it says you see the exact amount at checkout and that buying on the web is usually cheaper. The US App Store lists the subscription at $15.99 a month, $42.99 for three months and $159.99 a year. Ultra ($28.99) and MAX ($68.99) are monthly add-ons for more memory context, open only to users with a long chat history. Selfie credits, audio credits and extra slots cost $3.49 to $14.99.
No more free plan
The subscriptions page, updated October 13, 2026, replaced the free tier with a one-time preview: 50 messages on the flagship model, 5 selfies, 5,000 audio credits and up to 2 Kindroids. After that the account turns read-only. You can still read, export and delete everything, but you cannot send messages or make calls without a trial or a plan. The 3-day trial needs a payment method and converts automatically if you do not cancel.
Adult content and moderation
Kindroid publishes its moderation rules. Automated checks look for imminent self-harm, imminent harm to others and sexual content involving minors; the guidelines say they do not police fictional scenarios or NSFW roleplay. A paid subscription counts as age verification, while free accounts may be flagged by behavioral age estimation and asked to verify.
Billing and privacy
On the web you can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay or Cash App; app store purchases follow store rules, including refunds. The privacy policy (October 22, 2026) says Kindroid does not currently sell personal data and keeps it as long as needed for its stated purposes. To delete the account you delete your last Kindroid, which runs after 24 hours. Deleting does not cancel a subscription, and billing records are kept.
Who should pick it
Pick Kindroid if you want one or a few deeply customized companions with strong memory, calls and selfies, and you are ready to pay from $15.99 a month. Skip it if you want to stay free long term, or if you want a ready-made catalog of characters to browse.

The Services are only for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is greater.
The line is crossed when a character depicted as a minor is placed in a sexual or abusive context. Minor is defined as under 18, regardless of user jurisdiction.
Kindroid does not allow intimate images of a real person to be created or shared on the Services without that person's consent.
