What Nomi is
Nomi is an AI companion app from Glimpse.ai, Inc., a Maryland company. You create one or more Nomis, give each a backstory or let a personality grow through chat, and talk one-on-one or in group chats. The pitch is memory: Nomi says each companion keeps short, medium and long-term memory, and you can edit what it remembers through Mind Maps. It runs on the web, iOS and Android with one account.
What it costs
The site has no pricing page. The US App Store lists the Standard Plan at $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter and $99.99 a year, and a Launch Plan at $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year. Nomi Credits for extra images and Nomis run from $4.99 to $99.99. The terms say all fees are in US dollars, and plans renew automatically until you cancel on the platform where you bought.
The free plan
You can start without a card. According to the refund policy, free accounts keep every Nomi and can chat one-on-one; group chats, video, voice messages and calls are paid and turn read-only after a downgrade. The official blog says free accounts get two images a day against forty for subscribers.
Adult chat and images
Nomi advertises "Unfiltered Chats" and the App Store rates the app 18+ for mature and suggestive themes. Photos are a different story: the official wiki says Nomis are not permitted to take nude photos because of app store and card network rules, so selfies stay clothed. If explicit images matter to you, this is the main limit.
Billing and privacy
Sign-up goes through Google or Apple; Nomi suggests Apple's Private Relay to hide your email. The privacy policy says Nomi does not sell or rent personal information and that deleting your account deletes your personal information, apart from training archives that are no longer tied to you. Payments are nonrefundable: no refunds for unused time, partial months or dissatisfaction, with partial refunds only at Nomi's discretion.
Who should pick it
Pick Nomi if you want a long-running companion that remembers you, group roleplay with several characters and voice calls, at a clear monthly price. Skip it if you want explicit images or a large catalog of ready-made characters, or if you need a refund window before you commit.
