Is PolyBuzz down? How to check, and what happened to the iPhone app

We do not monitor PolyBuzz in real time, so this page cannot tell you whether it is down at this minute, and no page that is not run by PolyBuzz can say so with certainty. What it can do is show you where PolyBuzz itself posts news, how to tell an outage from a problem on your side, and what is officially known as of October 23, 2026.

The main change this month is not an outage. On October 23, 2026, PolyBuzz did not appear in Apple's App Store search in the United States, the United Kingdom or Canada, while its Google Play listing and the website polybuzz.ai were both live. Details are below.

PolyBuzz answers this question in its own FAQ. Its advice, in order:

1. Check your internet connection first.
2. If your connection works, visit the official Discord server to see whether the team has posted an announcement.
3. Check whether other users report the same problem at the same time.
4. If the app is down, try the web version at polybuzz.ai.

The official channels linked from the PolyBuzz homepage on October 23, 2026 were:

• Discord server, which the FAQ names as the place for announcements and feedback
• X account @polybuzz_ai
• r/polybuzz on Reddit
• TikTok and Instagram accounts, which are mostly promotional

We did not find a public status page for PolyBuzz. Third-party outage trackers collect user reports, which helps show whether many people have trouble at once, but they are not official and cannot see PolyBuzz's servers.

Before assuming the whole service is down, narrow it down:

• Web and app. If polybuzz.ai works in a browser but the app does not, the problem is with the app, an update, or the app store, not the servers.
• Another network. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. A workplace or public network may block chat services.
• Update or reinstall. An outdated app version can stop talking to the servers after a backend change.
• Log out and back in. Expired sessions often look like "nothing loads".
• One character or all of them. If a single character fails, it may have been flagged. The FAQ says a character marked "Violation" becomes visible only to its creator.

If everything works for other users and only your account is locked, it is more likely an account issue than an outage. PolyBuzz support is at [email protected].

Here is what could be confirmed on October 23, 2026:

• A search of Apple's App Store catalog for "polybuzz" in the US, UK and Canadian storefronts returned no PolyBuzz app.
• The Google Play listing PolyBuzz: Chat with AI Friends was live.
• The website polybuzz.ai loaded normally.
• The PolyBuzz FAQ still told users to download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

Neither Apple nor PolyBuzz had published an explanation that we could find. Independent reports date the disappearance of the iPhone listing to mid-October 2026. Anything you read about the reason, including claims that it was linked to content rules, is speculation until one of the two companies says something.

So "banned" is not the right word on current evidence. We found no government ban, and the service itself was running on the web and Android. If you already have the iPhone app, whether it keeps working depends on PolyBuzz's servers, which we cannot verify.

Without an official incident report, these are the usual causes for a hosted chat app. They are general, not a diagnosis of any specific day.

• Load at peak hours. Free chat services see traffic spikes in the evening and at weekends; replies slow down or time out.
• Maintenance and updates. Backend changes can break older app versions for a few hours.
• Model providers. The PolyBuzz privacy policy says it shares data with third parties, "including the Chat-GPT platform", to deliver its features. If an outside provider has problems, replies can fail even when the site loads.
• Account actions. The terms allow PolyBuzz to reject, block or delete content "without prior notice" and to suspend accounts it believes belong to users under 18.
• Age verification in the UK. The privacy policy describes mandatory age verification for UK users under the Online Safety Act, run by Ondato and Yoti. Until it is completed, access can be limited.
• Store availability. As described above, the iPhone app could not be found in the App Store on October 23, 2026.

The terms also say PolyBuzz does not warrant against interruptions caused by things like "system instability" or "network interruption", so there is no promised uptime.

Outages bring out copycats. Avoid:

• Unofficial apps and modified installers. Files offered as "PolyBuzz mod" or similar are not from PolyBuzz and can carry malware or steal logins.
• Lookalike websites. Only enter your password on polybuzz.ai or in the official app.
• Paying twice. If you cannot reach the app, do not buy a second subscription on another platform; check where your current one was purchased first.
• Mirror sites. Sites promising another way in route your account and chats through servers no one can vouch for.
