Secrets AI: the best-documented memory
Secrets AI explains its memory more openly than anyone else here. When you share personal details, your companion "automatically saves it in the background" across five categories: personal information, preferences, life experiences, goals and relationship details. A newer Smart Mode adds an assistant that "searches through memories and past conversations to pull in the right context before every reply". You can also open a memory panel, mark entries HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW, and delete ones that are wrong. That last part matters: a companion that remembers the wrong thing feels less real, not more.
The tiers change the depth. Compared with free, Premium gives 60% longer short-term memory and 4 times the memories accessed; Ultimate doubles short-term memory and reaches 6 times. Ultimate also adds group chats and personas. You can chat with realistic or anime companions or build your own, and paid tiers add images, video and audio calls.
Price: Premium $19.99 a month or $109.99 a year; Ultimate $39.99 a month or $319.99 a year. Sale discounts apply to the first billing period only.
Real-person rule: no photo uploads, and the wiki says prompts are checked before generation, for example for a real person's likeness.
One honest minus: the free tier is 20 messages a day with no images or voice, so you will not feel the memory system properly before paying.

Kindroid: the most detailed character, plus video calls
Kindroid has you build the character yourself: name, personality, backstory, appearance and voice. Kins keep long-term memory, and subscribers get an extended "Cascaded Memory". You can talk by text, voice messages and video calls, and Kins send photo and video selfies. For realism, the video call is the feature nobody else on this list matches.
Price: not published in USD. The subscriptions page says you see the exact price for your country and platform at checkout, and that web purchases are generally cheaper than app store ones.
Real-person rule: Kindroid bans uploading images of real people other than yourself.
One honest minus: you cannot compare cost before checkout, and account deletion runs through contacting the company. Official site: kindroid.ai.
Nomi: memory as the whole product
Nomi's site leads with "short, medium, and long term memory" and promises a "deep, consistent, and evolving relationship". In practice that means the companion is meant to recall earlier conversations and details over time. You can send and receive voice chats or hold a hands-free call, Nomis send selfies, and a separate Art tool produces realistic or anime-style images. Every Nomi is defined as an adult of at least 18.
Price: $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year, from an official blog post dated March 20, 2026. The current checkout price was not confirmed, and there is no public pricing page.
One honest minus: the terms grant Nomi a perpetual, transferable license to what you type, and archived communications are not removed by account deletion. Official site: nomi.ai.
Nastia AI: private by design
Nastia gives each user a private companion. There is no public feed, nothing you create is shown to other users, and you receive voice messages from your companion. Nastia's homepage says it offers "AI companionship that remembers you", a claim we have not tested.
The reason Nastia is on a realism page is the line it draws: the image and video generator does not accept photo uploads, and it refuses prompts for public figures. Realistic, yes; a copy of someone, no.
Price: not published. On October 23, 2026 the membership page redirected to sign-in. The free tier "includes daily messages and basic features", per the official FAQ.
One honest minus: prices only after registration, and chats are used to improve replies.
Nectar AI: lifelike images with memory and calls
Nectar describes persistent memory for its companions, voice messages and calls, and group scenarios called Fantasies. Its image tool generates anime-style or lifelike pictures of the character you design, and image uploads in character creation are banned, as are real-person characters.
Price: Premium $9.99 a month discounted ($19.99 list), Pro $19.99 ($29.99 list), Ultimate $34.99 ($49.99 list).
One honest minus: Nectar's terms, FAQ and privacy policy disagree on age rules, and account deletion is only by contacting support.
DreamGF: preset looks, voice by the minute
DreamGF builds a companion from preset face, body, outfit and personality options, which keeps characters fictional by design. You chat, receive voice messages and request photos. The token costs are published: a voice message costs 3 tokens and a voice call 7 tokens a minute. The terms say content made to resemble real individuals will be deleted.
Free: the homepage advertises a daily message bonus that starts at 10 messages and rises by one a day to 50 on day 40, resetting if you miss a day. Whether it applies without a membership is unclear on the official pages.
Price: the homepage FAQ lists $12.99 for the first month, then $25.98 a month; the pricing policy page lists other numbers.
One honest minus: conflicting prices, strict no-refund rules once any feature is used, and memory is not documented, so we could not confirm long-term recall.
Candy AI: realistic style, with one section to skip
Candy's builder starts with a Realistic or Anime choice and lets you pick ethnicity, voice and personality. The homepage claims "memory retention", Premium Plus adds 20 memory slots, and companions send voice messages and can join voice calls (in beta). Voice features cost tokens, and those token costs are not published.
Price: $3.99 a month billed $47.88 a year, $26.97 every 3 months, or $9.99 for the first month then $13.99 a month.
The flag: Candy also sells licensed "digital twins" of real adult creators. They are made with the creators' consent, but they are real-person likenesses, which is outside what this page recommends. Use Candy for fictional characters only.
One honest minus: about 5 free messages, and resetting a chat also clears its memory.
