SpicyChat alternatives after the September 2026 price change

As of October 24, 2026, SpicyChat's public character catalog includes an "Age Play" tag. We do not recommend services that surface age-ambiguous tags, and that is now the main reason to look elsewhere. SpicyChat also changed its prices on September 8, 2026. New subscriptions now cost $5.95, $19.95 or $29.95 a month, legacy subscribers may pay different rates, and changing plans can move an old subscriber to current pricing. Add a privacy question we could not settle from SpicyChat's pages, a fixed retention period or a training opt-out, and you have the other common reasons people look for SpicyChat alternatives.

The five services below keep adult character chat and change one of those variables.

• Janitor AI. The answer if price is the issue: unlimited free chats with community bots on Janitor's own model, and a large community bot library. Adult themes are allowed on characters tagged Limitless, and the service is limited to users over 18. Paid extras are optional.
• Chub AI (https://chub.ai/). The answer if privacy is the issue: the terms say private chats are not used to train AI models, and the privacy policy says data is not disclosed to third parties without consent. Chub hosts user-written character cards and lorebooks with its own models or an outside connection. Official site: chub.ai.
• CrushOn.AI. A similar character chat product with a choice of models. Its pricing page lists Standard at $5.99 a month or $58.88 a year (checked October 23, 2026), close to SpicyChat's entry tier. The privacy policy says chats may be used to train AI models.
• GirlfriendGPT. A large community library with credit-based plans; the terms describe 5,000 to 20,000 credits a month depending on tier, resetting monthly. The free tier lets you test before paying. Paid prices are shown only after sign-in, and subscriptions are generally non-refundable.
• Kindroid (https://kindroid.ai/). For people who mostly talk to one character: long-term memory, voice and video calls, and moderation guidelines that permit NSFW content for adults. The privacy policy says data is not sold or shared and chats are kept until you delete them. Official site: kindroid.ai.

SpicyChat's written guidelines require users and characters to be adults, but a tag like this in the public catalog conflicts with that line, so we no longer list SpicyChat among recommended services. The September 2026 pricing update. According to SpicyChat's official pricing FAQ, current new-subscription prices are Get A Taste at $5.95 a month or $60 a year, True Supporter at $19.95 or $199.95, and I'm All In at $29.95 or $299.95. Legacy subscribers may pay different rates, and changing plans can move them to the current prices. If you are on an older plan, check what a plan change would cost before you touch it.

Privacy we could not confirm. SpicyChat's guidelines are detailed on content, but we did not establish a fixed retention period or a model-training opt-out from the pages reviewed. Private character visibility does not mean the operator cannot access your chats.

What any replacement should hold. SpicyChat's community guidelines prohibit minors, non-consensual content and unauthorized depictions of real people. Check that a replacement states the same bans in its own documents before you move.

SpicyChat requires users and characters to be adults and has labeling rules. Janitor AI checks age through k-ID in Australia, Brazil and the UK, and lists chats among collected data without a training switch. Chub AI keeps adult content behind account toggles. CrushOn.AI asks for an 18+ confirmation at login, its "Unfiltered" switch is on by default, and an active subscription can block deletion. GirlfriendGPT relies on self-declared age and takes a broad, perpetual license to submitted content. Kindroid can ask for a Yoti check.

• You want to stop paying: Janitor AI. Its free tier covers unlimited chats on the built-in model.
• You want your chats kept out of training: Chub AI states this in its terms. If you connect an outside model, that provider's policy applies too.
• You want a similar entry price: CrushOn AI lists Standard at $5.99 a month.
• You want one companion with memory: Kindroid.
