Uncensored AI chatbot options for adults: what the filters really allow

Editorial draft. This page demonstrates the template. Selection, recommendations and copy await review.

Five adult chat platforms whose own rules allow 18+ fiction, each with written bans on minors and on real people without consent. They differ in how adult content is switched on and in free use: unlimited chats on Janitor AI, 15 messages a day on Nectar AI, 100 message credits a month on CrushOn.AI, one-time trial credits on Chub AI. Prices and allowances checked Oct 23 and 24, 2026.

In short

No AI chatbot is uncensored in the literal sense. The services below allow adult fiction for users who are 18 or older, but every one of them keeps hard limits: nothing involving minors, nothing that depicts real people without consent, and no non-consensual content. What actually differs is how the rules are written, how a filter is switched on or off for adults, and who can read your messages.

If price matters most, the free adult AI chat comparison covers free tiers in more detail.

Our picks

  • Janitor AI. Best for: Free, unlimited community character chat with tagged adult bots. The help center says the free tier includes unlimited chats with community bots on Janitor's own model. Characters with sexual or romantic themes must be tagged Limitless, and minor-coded characters and personas are banned under a zero-tolerance policy. janitor+ costs $12.99 a month or $99 a year (checked October 24, 2026), and the privacy policy lists chats among collected data without a training switch.
  • Kindroid (https://kindroid.ai/). Best for: One custom companion with the most detailed moderation rules on this list. Kindroid's moderation guidelines permit NSFW content and erotic roleplay for adults and state where the line on minors sits, including that an adult label does not override an underage depiction. Automated detection covers three areas, and the guidelines say no human reads content during detection; review happens only on appeal, with consent. Prices appear only at checkout, by country and platform.
  • Chub AI (https://chub.ai/). Best for: Character cards and model choice, including your own API connection. Adult content sits behind account toggles, and the terms ban any character or lorebook that sexualizes someone who is or appears to be under 18. You can chat on Chub's own models or connect another provider, and the terms say private characters and chats are not used to train an AI model. Its one plan costs $20 a month, paid in crypto only, and new accounts get one-time trial credits for a few dozen messages (checked October 23, 2026).
  • Nectar AI (https://nectar.ai/). Best for: A companion platform with a separate, verified NSFW mode. Adult content sits behind an NSFW mode that the FAQ limits to verified users aged 18 and over; the verification method is not described. The terms ban content that involves or depicts anyone under 18, and the FAQ says content is not used to train external AI models. Its official pages disagree on age rules, which is why it sits below the services above.
  • CrushOn.AI. Best for: Model selection on a large catalog with a usable free plan. CrushOn's official wiki separates SFW roles, which block sensitive content, from other character settings. Its pricing page lists Standard at $5.99 a month or $58.88 a year, and the free plan includes unlimited Free Models and 100 message credits a month (checked October 23, 2026). The privacy policy says chat content may be used to train AI models. An "unfiltered" label in marketing is not a description of what the terms allow.

What "uncensored" means on these platforms

In search results, "uncensored", "unfiltered" and "no filter" are used as if they meant the same thing: a chatbot that will write anything. None of the official documents we read promise that. They describe something narrower: adult content is permitted for verified or self-declared adults, inside a set of rules that the operator enforces. Chub puts adult content behind account toggles. Janitor AI asks creators to tag characters with sexual or romantic themes as Limitless. Nectar AI uses a separate NSFW mode. Kindroid's moderation guidelines permit adult roleplay and then list the categories its automated systems look for.

So the useful question is not "is it uncensored" but "what do the rules say, and how are they enforced". That is what this comparison is built on.

How we chose

We started from the services in our catalogue whose official pages describe adult chat as a permitted use. Then we read each service's terms, content rules, privacy policy and pricing page and kept the ones where the adult-content rules are written down. Services were placed in order by these criteria, in this order of weight:

  1. Written adult-content rules. A toggle, tag or mode described in the terms or help center, not only a slogan on the homepage.
  2. Written hard limits. An explicit ban on content involving minors, on depicting real people and on non-consensual content.
  3. Moderation transparency. Whether the service explains what is filtered, by whom and how appeals work.
  4. Model choice and data flow. Whether you can pick a model, and what the service says about messages sent to that model.
  5. Price and free use, quoted from an official page with the date we checked it.
  6. Age check and deletion. How age is confirmed and whether you can delete the account yourself.

Where a fact could not be confirmed on an official page, it is marked "not verified".

Age checks and deletion

Janitor AI runs a one-time k-ID check for users in Australia, Brazil and the UK, and you delete the account yourself in Settings, Security. Kindroid treats paid users as verified, may ask free users to verify with Yoti, and deletes accounts on request. Chub AI states 18+ in its terms without describing a check and offers a "Permanently Delete Account" button. Nectar AI mentions verification for its NSFW mode without describing the method, its pages conflict on age, and deletion goes through support on Discord or by email. CrushOn.AI asks for an 18+ confirmation at login; deletion is in Profile, Settings, and an active subscription can block it.

Three ways these filters work

Account toggles. Chub's terms allow adult content behind settings on your account. The terms also state that attempts to work around the rule on minors lead to account termination, and moderation is described as a mix of tag moderators, admin removal, comment reports and "primitive word filters".

Character tags. On Janitor AI, the creator of a character labels it Limited or Limitless. The help center is clear that a Limitless tag does not make prohibited content allowed, and image guidelines ban sexual imagery in bot pictures.

A separate mode or automated detection. Nectar AI keeps adult content behind an NSFW mode for verified adults. Kindroid lets adults use NSFW content and runs automated detection for three things only: imminent self-harm, imminent harm to others and abuse material involving minors. Its guidelines say a single detection does not trigger action and warnings come before an account lock.

We do not publish ways to get around filters or age checks on any service, including ones that are not on this list. If a platform's rules do not allow adult chat, the honest option is a platform whose rules do.

Choosing a model also chooses who reads your messages

Two services on this list let you connect an outside model. On Chub, the documentation describes connections to other providers, and API traffic outside the Chub interface is described as not logged, with only metadata kept. On Janitor AI, chats can run on the free built-in model, on third-party models through the paid janitor+ Router, or through your own API key. Janitor's help center is explicit that every message in such a chat also goes to the external provider and falls under that provider's privacy policy.

That creates a second bill and a second privacy policy. The provider charges you directly, and it decides what to keep. If you use a proxy run by an unknown third party, assume that party can read your messages and your key. Our privacy guide for AI companions covers this in more detail, and the Janitor AI safety guide looks at that platform specifically.

What no service on this list allows

Every service here bans content involving minors in its own documents. Most also restrict content about real, identifiable people: Nectar AI, for example, bans real-person characters. Kindroid's guidelines add that calling a character an adult does not override a depiction that shows them as underage. These limits are the same whether a service calls itself uncensored or not.

Some well-known names are missing on purpose. PolyBuzz is not here because its FAQ prohibits publicly displayed NSFW content and its filter is part of the product; our PolyBuzz safety guide explains how it works. Emochi's terms reference a minimum registration age of 16 and prohibit sexually explicit submissions, so it does not fit an adults-only list. For users leaving Character.AI over its filter, see Character.AI alternatives for adults.

What to check before paying

  • The current price on the official checkout. Kindroid shows prices only at checkout, and Nectar AI lists a list price and a discounted price without saying which one checkout uses.
  • Which bill covers what. Janitor AI can involve a subscription, prepaid Router credits and an outside provider's charges at the same time.
  • Refund terms. Chub's terms say it "does not offer refunds unless explicitly granted by the Company". Janitor's help center calls subscriptions generally non-refundable. Nectar AI's terms say subscription fees are non-refundable except where law requires.
  • Training and retention. Chub's terms exclude private chats from model training. Janitor AI's privacy policy lists chats among collected data without a training switch, and CrushOn's says chats may be used for training.
  • How to delete the account. Chub and Janitor AI offer self-serve deletion; Kindroid and Nectar AI ask you to contact them.

Our billing guide explains renewals, card statements and disputes.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a truly uncensored AI chatbot?

Not in the sense of a chatbot with no rules. The services on this page allow adult content for users 18 and older, but each one bans content involving minors, depicting real people without consent and non-consensual content in its own terms or guidelines.

Which uncensored AI chatbot is free?

Janitor AI's help center says its free tier includes unlimited chats with community bots on its own model, with a context limit of about 9,000 tokens. Chub gives new accounts one-time trial credits for a few dozen messages and is free with your own API key.

Can I turn off the filter on Character.AI or PolyBuzz?

We do not publish instructions for getting around filters or age checks. Those filters are part of each service's rules. If you are an adult who wants adult fiction, choose a platform whose terms allow it; see [Character.AI alternatives for adults](/alternatives/character-ai/).

Does an uncensored chatbot mean nobody reads my chats?

No. Moderation, flagged-content review and outside model providers can all involve your messages. Kindroid's guidelines say no human reads content during automated detection, while Janitor AI warns that messages sent to an external model fall under that provider's privacy policy.

Why is a service that advertises "no filter" missing from this list?

We include services whose official documents describe their adult-content rules and limits. A slogan is not enough, and some services were left out because their own terms do not allow adult content or because of policy concerns described on our [methodology page](/methodology/).
